Santa's 2010-2011 Activities

Christmas Morning, December 25, 2010 – Santa returned to the North Pole with his faithful reindeers for a well deserved rest.  During the afternoon, Santa & Mrs. Claus host a feast for the elves to show them how much they are appreciated by making the toys so every child gets at least one toy.  Shortly after dinner, Santa & Mrs. Claus leave for a hard earned vacation.

April 2, 2011 – Santa & Mrs. Claus return to the North Pole when Mrs. Claus is presented with a large list of cookie recipes.  After sampling the cookies, it is agreed by all, that chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies are still the best.

Meanwhile Santa returns to the workshop to make some improvements to toys and games.  In between the workshop and the cookie kitchen, Santa works with new reindeer teaching them to fly and land on snow and ice. Santa works with the logistical elves planning new delivery routes and adding new stops for new children all over the world.

June 10, 2011 – Mr. & Mrs. Claus sat down and began a new list of charitable organizations.  By June 25th, all the elves have selected 5 charities from Mr. & Mrs. Claus new list.  On June 30th, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen, choose the one from the list of 5 charities.  If there is a tie, Rudolph casts the deciding vote.

The charity chosen for 2011 is the Signal 22 Canteen Unit. (See end of story for location) Signal 22 began when a small group of “fire buffs” were watching the Trenton Fire Department battle a large lumber yard fire in South Trenton, New Jersey.  It was a hot and humid day, and the only nourishment was the water coming out of the fire hoses.  The “fire buffs” went out and purchased sandwiches and coffee from their own money, and fed the hot tired fire fighters until the fire was extinguished. Shortly after that day, the “fire buffs” met and formed Signal 22 Canteen Unit. Signal 22 is currently located at
1005 South Clinton Ave.
in Trenton, New Jersey (08611)

When a fire department sounds a “second alarm” a signal 2-2 is announced along with the location of the fire, or any man made or natural disaster emergency event. That is when the “Signal 22 Canteen Unit” is called in for service.  They could be in service for 1 hr. or 24 hours a day, possibly for an entire week, at several different locations.  They will feed all first responders, along with other people who assist in the event.

Even today, this organization does not receive any funding from any government, or agency.  They only receive donations from fire fighters, police officers, EMS personnel, and private individuals.

Should anyone wish to make a donation for Santa’s visit, please make the donation to the Signal 22 Canteen Unit. (If you wish, Santa will deliver donations to Signal 22 on Christmas Eve.)
